" 16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in Him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them."
John 3:16
" 16 For God loved the world that He gave His only son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."
I feel like this is what ties all of the other identity pieces together: God's love.
There's a specific Adventures in Odyssey episode that I think of when I hear the words "God's love". In case #4 Puns, Parables, and Perilous Predicaments, there's an episode entitled The Greatest of These. In it Connie, Pamela, Robyn, and Oscar have a bible study and hear the word "agape" in regards to God's love. Throughout the rest of the episode they are trying to find out what the word "agape" means. Through a series of events, Whit feels it is best to simply tell Robyn what it means: "Agape is unconditional love. Now that means you love somebody no matter what. Not just if they're as smart as you, or act the way you want them to, and not just if they have a handicap. It means you love them, even when they don't deserve to be loved." Unconditional love; to love someone, even when they don't deserve to be loved. That's God's love EXACTLY. With the crap that I pull every day, I sure as heck don't deserve to be loved the way that God loves me. And yet He still offers His love to me, with no strings attached, and no hidden fees. That blows my mind...
