" 43 He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in Him will have their sins forgiven through His name."

This is one that's a little harder to write about. I feel like I'm pretty decent at forgiving, though there are times when it's definitely not as easy. And then there are times when I feel I can forgive someone, but I still don't trust them, and feel uncomfortable around them. I then feel like that's not actually forgiving them, and it just becomes an entangled web of what the definition of forgiveness is, and how I'm applying it.
What amazes me is the way God forgave us on the cross, and how He continues to forgive us daily. On the cross He forgave us our past sins, and the sins that had not yet happened. All the times we lie, steal, lust, murder, give into temptation, hate, and deny Him, He has already forgiven - we need only to repent and ask for it, knowing that it is so. Think about that: when we repent, God forgives us our sins. He doesn't hold it against us, reminding us of how we've failed; that's Satan's line of work, and he will do anything to get us to believe the lie that God is counting our sins against us (2 Corinthians 5:19). When God forgives us, He doesn't hold it against us, He doesn't resent us for that offense or mistake, He TRULY forgives us. Even when we don't feel like we can forgive ourselves, God can. We need to be better at following His example in this, and I say that knowing full well that I have a lot to work on in that area...
